I know it can feel frustrating … and even hopeless sometimes.
Even though you’re tired and have worked so hard, you’re not going to give up. While you don’t yet know why you’re still having trouble sleeping, can’t seem to stop worrying, and are walking through life feeling like a clenched fist, you continue to remain hopeful that you’ll find a way out.
Sometimes it feels like you’ve made some progress, or that things are finally going in the right direction, only to find yourself repeating the same patterns and feeling stuck over and over again.
Chronic overwork is rampant in North America, and people are under enormous pressure to achieve and give more and more while neglecting their own needs. Chances are, this is happening to you. You’ve tried so hard to remain hopeful and persevere, but each time you end up feeling deflated. When you have stretched yourself too thin for too long, burnout is the result.
It’s frustrating. It’s humiliating. It’s exhausting. And sometimes it feels like no matter how many times you pick yourself up, you’re just never going to restore your balance and regain your well-being.
